I knew from the first time I saw Marc Kirby that I was screwed.
Big eyes, scruffy face, brown curls – yes, yes, and yes. The man is wicked hot.
He’s also my roommate, and since I work nights and he’s at class all day – it’s like living alone at half the rent.
Then an unexpected night off turns into an unexpected morning in Marc’s bed, but it turns out we can't even figure out the screwing.
This is not great news for Marc who’s going on a “bangcation” at the end of the summer – a whole month in France that he’s planned to spend getting busy with the women of Paris.
It’s also not great news for me for obvious reasons.
With both of us needing work on our skills, there’s only one logical solution to our predicament.

This book by Kayti McGee was so much FUN! You don't always get that with a romance story line, but this had me laughing out loud during the funny parts and swooning the next at Marc, the object of Madison's affection.Madison and Marc end up being roommates out of convenience. Because of their schedules they barely see each other for a year before spending time together. Madison is instantly attracted to Marc, but she is so awkward she doesn't know if he feels the same. However, as you get to know them you realize how much they have in common. Both are nerdy and awkward in their own way.
The inner monologue of Madison is hilarious and we know what she's thinking and feeling every step of the way. The two act on their attraction for one another and again...it's hilarious. Their relationship is not your typical bad boy or millionaire mogul trying to win the affections of the strong willed woman and that is what I loved about it. It was fresh, funny and sexy all in the right parts.

The laugh out loud story of Madison and Marc, roommates, who try to help each other become better at the art of seduction. You will enjoy this hilariously funny couple.
I loved this book as I love all of Kayti's books. She is my favorite rom com writer. A perfect mix.
Story had the funny factor, although a little outrageous at times. Book kind of wrapped up quickly at the end. Wanted to learn more about where her comic was heading after the HEA. Lots of laughs
I absolutely love this book and Kayti's writing style! Screwmates is a seriously fun laugh out loud read. It's a great book to lighten your mood, if you need that sort of thing ;) The hijinks, shenanigans, physical comedy and all around awkwardness of these two characters, made it crazy hard to put this down and sprinkle some adulting throughout the day! If you're on the fence about giving Screwmates a chance, stop waiting, just do it, unless you don't like to laugh!
This is honestly one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. Madison is my new favorite female character. Being 22 year old who loves all things nerdy chic, Madison’s character felt like a near and dear friend. While there isn’t a ton of depth, this book didn’t need it. Perfect romcom for someone who tends to go more for angst and fantasy, but needs a little break every now and then.
My first Kayti McGee book had me inadvertently waking the mister with my poorly concealed-in-the-pillow laughter. I might have even snorted a time or two. Being a KC metro area native, and having taken both a wine pairing and a cooking class at the same culinary center, I was front row/right there there with Madison and Marc, seeing the same sights, and smelling the same smells. Ditto with other area locations mentioned. That really added a fun element to the book, as if the couple's klutziness wasn't enough to keep me smiling. Will definitely have Ms. McGee on my automatically purchase list from here on out.
Screensavers by Kayti McGee.....Get ready you will be laughing at this book, there times my stomach hurt from laughing. I loved the characters Marc and Madison are hilarious and so hot for each other. These two are fun with awkward and steamy moments. This is my first book by Kayti McGee and I am so looking forward to more. If you need to escape life for a couple of hours, you need to read this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
